It’s a gorgeous last day of the year in Shanghai, where I’ll be conducting services for Kehilat Shanghai for Rosh HaShanah and Yom Kippur. Jews have come to Shanghai in the past for trade and refuge, and they join here now on these holiest of days seeking community and purpose, as we all do. We will hold services tomorrow morning in the historic Ohel Moshe sanctuary, a unique and beautiful place for Yom Tov for this warm, diverse and embracing community.
This is a time of joy and reflection, of introspection and growth. May it be a wonderful year of health, goodness and blessing for all of us!
